Technology advice should survive contact with real life
Developers in Kenya do not need another promise that one framework, course or checklist guarantees a career. They need understandable options, primary sources, projects worth discussing and enough context to make their own decisions.
KODE Ń VIBE is an early community website exploring that role. Its public pages bring learning roadmaps, a career-direction questionnaire, project examples and editorial guides into one place.
What the current prototype includes
Learning paths
Browse developer roadmaps to compare topics and identify a reasonable next step. A roadmap is a guide, not an accredited curriculum.
Practical editorial guides
Use the Kenya developer guides to plan learning and scope portfolio work without invented timelines or outcomes.
Direction prompts
The tech advice questionnaire can surface broad fields to investigate. It is not a psychological, aptitude or recruitment assessment.
Accounts and project cards
Supabase provides member authentication and stores published project cards, optional images and member likes. Email sign-in is available; Google sign-in appears only when that provider has been configured.
Principles behind the work
- Local context without stereotypes. We use recognisable Kenyan situations where they clarify a technical decision, while recognising that people, counties and working conditions differ.
- Evidence before hype. Verifiable facts should lead to primary documentation or the responsible authority. Editorial suggestions should be labelled by their wording and context.
- No guaranteed outcomes. A guide cannot promise employment, income, admission, certification or a universal learning timeline.
- Privacy by restraint. Learning projects should prefer synthetic data and collect no more information than the task needs.
- Accessible by default. Pages should work with keyboard navigation, responsive layouts, semantic structure and readable language.
- Community with boundaries. Participation should be constructive and safe; see the code of conduct.
What KODE Ń VIBE is not
KODE Ń VIBE is not a university, TVET institution, examination body, recruiter, employer, government agency, financial adviser or legal adviser. A link to a school, company, tool, community or public body does not by itself mean partnership or endorsement.
The site remains a prototype under active development, but its account and project features use a hosted Supabase backend. Keep your own project backups, share only public material and do not treat a profile or project card as a verified identity, job listing or endorsement.
Editorial responsibility
Pages are attributed to the KODE Ń VIBE Editorial Team because no verified individual author identity is being presented. The byline names the responsible publishing function; it is not a claim about a particular person's credentials.
Our editorial policy explains sourcing, review dates, correction handling and the kinds of claims these pages avoid. The privacy notice describes browser storage, Supabase accounts, public project data and relevant service providers.
